The Respiratory Care Student Assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for performing a wide variety of cardiopulmonary services in accordance with established departmental policies and within the limits of acquired skills and capabilities that are specified on student license. In addition assumes responsibility and accountability for other cardiopulmonary, universal tasks as assigned for example, answering the phones, clean equipment, public relations, greeting patients and families. All procedures performed by these employees must be co-signed by a licensed employee.
