Responsible for design, analysis, testing, installation, and support activities for Epic related information system solutions as required that are developed or acquired as part of the overall hospital network of integrated computer systems. Incumbent must be able to help and consultation to enterprise departments, with system application issues, and serve as technical coordinator between departments and any outside vendors. In-depth knowledge of Epic software is obtained by attending Epic training with completion of application certification projects and tests. Responsible for first level problem resolutions and assistance with problems directed to the Service Desk from local or remote computer system users. This could include but is not limited to login, application, and hardware issues. In addition, this position is responsible for various computer operation duties such as system backups, report distributions, and monitoring interface files. Problems reported to the Service Desk are recorded and tracked in a computer system. Incumbent must be able to help and consultation to enterprise departments, with system application issues, and serve as technical coordinator between departments and any outside vendors.
