This Hospice, Oncology and Med-Surg unit cares for inpatient hospice patients, those receiving chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and post-op surgery patients.  The focus of this unit is to maintain a calm and healing environment.  A “Registered Nurse” is a person who holds a valid Indiana license, and who bears primary responsibility and accountability for nursing practices based on specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical, and behavioral sciences.  

In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary Reid Hospice team, the Hospice Case Manager RN is responsible for coordination of all care for their assigned hospice patients; this includes admission, discharge, re-certification, and planning of care.  The Case Manager RN will work closely with the Hospice Interdisciplinary Group (IDG), including patients and families, as well as Reid Health Leadership, Medical Staff, and physician’s practice office personnel; will work with representatives of the community, federal, and state agencies, as well as with outside review and accreditation agencies.

The RN - CDI Specialist position will function as a Second Level Reviewer. The main focus is post-coded and pe-billed with a focus on Medicare patients. The SLR performs post-discharge, final coded, pre-bill reviews of target case pupations (low acuity, long length of stay focus areas, sign & symptom principal diagnoses, compliance related clinical validation opportunities, HACs/PSIs, etc.) to verify that all conditions are accurately reported.

The RN Clinical Analyst implements informatics solutions and technologies to support patient care, clinical decision making, outcomes management and research. Performs the following but not limited to: - Design workflows required for clinical information systems solutions - Analysis of clinical data - Testing of clinical information systems -

This position will float to areas specifically with ACES East including critical care, progressive care, observation, ED, and family birthing.
