Under the supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) the Student Nurse Tech is responsible to provide daily services involving basic care for patients as well as other assigned unit duties. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served. The primary focus of this position is providing assistance to the RN circulator and physicians in the Family Birthing Center Operating Room. Responsible for design, analysis, testing, installation, and support activities for our Cerner Laboratory system solutions as required that are developed or acquired as part of the overall hospital network of integrated computer systems. Incumbent must be able to help and consultation to enterprise departments, with system application issues, and serve as technical coordinator between departments and any outside vendors. The FNS Team member performs a variety of duties.  They include: accurate and attractive tray assembly, tray delivery to patients, operation of the dishmachine, sanitation of work area, dishes, and equipment, preparation of food items for patient room service and cafeteria, cafeteria sales and operation of cash registers.  The FNS Team Member demonstrates Courtesy, positive Attitude, Respect, and Enthusiasm to patients, visitors, and co-workers.     Our values of Excellence, Empathy, Integrity and Accountability are essential to exceed our customers’ expectations.
