The Restorative Aide is responsible for supporting participants in achieving and maintaining their physical and functional goals in alignment with the PACE program's mission to promote participant independence. The Restorative Aide provides restorative therapies and assists with daily activities, meals, and activities of daily living (ADLs). Additionally, the Restorative Aide performs other duties as assigned by the Center Manager or designee, ensuring all tasks are within the scope of the Restorative Aide's practice and expertise.

• Follows all Reid Health PACE policies and procedures and OSHA safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.

• Under the guidance of the Physical and Occupational Therapists, provides direct participant treatment according to the individualized care plan.

• Assists the Occupational Therapist and Physical Therapist with participant care, treatments, and assessments as directed.

• Prepares supplies and equipment for participants according to the treatment plan.

• Monitors, cleans, and maintains therapy equipment.

• Assists participants with range of motion exercises, activities of daily living, and other therapies as ordered.

• Aids with lifting, turning, moving, transporting, and transferring participants.

• Assists in group exercise and other physically based activities in the Day Center.

• Documents necessary information daily in the electronic medical record while maintaining participant privacy.

• Shares responsibility with other team members in the implementation of the PACE philosophy and achievement of program goals.

• Practices Universal Precautions and follows appropriate Infection Control procedures.

• Participates in and supports the Quality Improvement initiatives.

• Participates in continuing education classes and any required staff and training meetings.

• Complies with CMS PACE regulations as they pertain to this role.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Minimum Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum Education Preferred: Same as above.

• Minimum Experience Required: 1–2 years of health care experience with elderly.

• Minimum Experience Preferred: Same as above.
