The Exercise Specialist will be working with Reid Fitness, primarily assisting with Rock Steady Boxing. Duties include acting as an assistant coach and resource to head coaches in Reid Fitness.

1. Perform the duties and responsibilities that are assigned by the Sports Medicine and Reid Fitness Manager.
2. Perform the duties and responsibilities of an assistant boxing coach.
   a. Assist head coach with daily workouts for the different boxing programs
   b. Communication with the boxers and head coaches regarding the goals of the workout and explanation of the program
   c. Ability to recognize and help boxers in need by demonstrating proper form
3. Able to provide appropriate first aid when required, including CPR
4. Cleaning and upkeep of equipment used in the exercise areas as needed
5. Provide coverage at outreach location (Connersville).
6. Ability to recognize poor form and demonstrate proper form for exercises with the focus of injury prevention.
7. Assisting in covering other Reid Fitness programming pending certifications.
8. Assist in promotion and marketing of Reid Fitness Services.
9. Keep the Sports Medicine and Reid Fitness Manager informed of pertinent departmental occurrences and informs manager of department needs.

Education Required: High school diploma minimum and actively pursuing BS degree in exercise science, kinesiology, health/physical education, sports medicine, or other related degree/specialty. 

Education Preferred: BS degree in exercise science, kinesiology, health/physical education, or other related degree/specialty.

Experience Required: Some experience in exercise, experience with geriatric population.
