Reid Health (Reid) is seeking a highly motivated and detailed individual to join our growing Quality Team. The quality department consist of units that are responsible for reporting outcome data to CMS, NCDR, NHSN, in addition to, overseeing infection control, patient safety, peer reviews, and value-based metric performance. This individual will work with all quality department units to meet quality regulatory compliance. This position will have dual reporting to the Director of Quality and to the Chief Administrative Officer for DNV and ISO audits and identified action plans.

Overview of Responsibilities

• Regularly review company practices and procedures to identify potential areas of
non-compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards to support
Reid’s Quality Management System.


• Stay up to date on current regulatory changes and industry best practices to
ensure accurate compliance interpretation of federal and state regulations to
support Reid’s Quality Management System.


• Analyze and interpret complex regulations to provide guidance to the quality
department to support state, federal and contractual payor reporting.


• Participate in the development of quality, patient safety, and infection control
training programs to educate employees on quality standards, regulatory
requirements, and compliance procedures.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance concerns with the
implementation of quality improvement initiatives to support Reid’s Quality
Management System.


• Monitor corrective action plans to address identified non-compliance issues
developed for non-conformities by departments to support Reid’s Quality
Management System.


• Participate in inspections and survey readiness for governing bodies that include
but not limited to, DNV, ISO, and other state and federal entities to support Reid’s
Quality Management System.


• Participate in developing policies and procedures to support Reid’s Quality
Management System.


• Maintain library of regulatory updates from state and federal regulators to
support Reid’s Quality Management System.


• Monitor the quality department’s quality improvement activities to ensure
successfully completion to support Reid’s Quality Management System.


• Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk within the quality
department and collaborate with other departments to develop appropriate
action plans for resolution to support Reid’s Quality Management System.


• Provide reports on a regular basis to the Director of Quality and Chief
Administrative Officer outlining operation and progress of regulatory
compliance efforts.


• Monitor and coordinate Physical Environment Plans and evaluations

to meet and maintain regulatory standards.


• Participate with internal audit team to identify areas of noncompliance to
meet state and federal governing rules and regulations.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, Nursing degree, or other comparable experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with internal/external quality auditing
  • Possess intermediate level of knowledge of local, state, federal laws and
    regulations pertaining to guidelines of provider and/or healthcare care
    management
  • State and federal accreditation survey experience, including submission
    of documents to accreditation agency

Licensure and Certification
• Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree, or other comparable experience.
