This position is responsible for all scheduling functions related to rehab services: Evaluations, Progress Updates, and on-going treatments.  The position will work closely with management and the clinical staff to optimize patient care and efficient operations.

Overview of Responsibilities

 

  1. Answer and triages incoming telephone calls, responds to questions, takes appropriate messages, schedules patient appointments or transfers caller as necessary according to guidelines established by the office.
  2. Schedules and or documents phone encounters for open scheduling inquiries.
  3. Maintains all office appointment schedules by scheduling patient based off convenience of patient, urgency, POC and time required (inc. assessments and on-going treatment)
  4. Manages Epic Waitlist functions
  5. Works assigned work queues in Epic
  6. Works with management to edit ongoing treatment schedules to open new treatment slots
  7. Cancels and re-schedules appointment
  8. Reschedule patients when needed for provider call-ins, emergencies, or for approved time off. 
  9. Manages changes to on-going appointments to facilitate getting patients off the waitlist
  10. Schedules/re-schedule patients for new therapist or departing therapists

Education/Experience

Education Required:  High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience Required:  Previous computer experience

Experience Preferred:  Six months of medical related office experience

Schedule Details

Day Shift. Monday - Thursday 9:30-6:00, Friday 8:30-5:00
