Overview of Responsibilities

  • Collects patient data and reports significant findings to the RN. This may include obtaining patient history, vital signs, and identification of physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs.
  • Identifies patient/family/significant other educational and discharge needs.
  • Carries out assigned responsibilities, establishing priorities and adapting actions to patient’s needs.
  • Demonstrates progress and competency in performing all procedures required in an area of practice.
  • Considers the whole patient including safety, comfort, age of patient, and motivation, physical and/or cognitive limitations and language barriers in the implementation of care.
  • Implements physicians’ orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates awareness of continuity of patient care by following through with the RNs established plan of care.
  • Documentation is timely, thorough and concise reflecting patient care status. This may include change in condition, response to treatment/medications, patient care needs and basic care.

Education/Experience

Education Required: Graduate of an approved AMA school of Radiologic technology. (compliant with all continuing education mandates)

Experience Required: Experience in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory

License/Certification: Licensure in the state of Indiana. Current Alliance of Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certified, BLS and ACLS certified

Schedule Details

Day Shift. 40 hours weekly. 4 10hr days. 7:00AM to 5:30PM. Average 2 days of call a week.
