A medical staff recruiter seeks, screens, and hires physicians and allied health professionals to practice medicine for Reid Health hospital and our practices. As a medical staff recruiter, your responsibilities include generating job descriptions, screening applicants, conducting preliminary interviews, and liaising with the clinician candidate and hiring managers, directors, and other stakeholders.

Overview of Responsibilities

 

This position develops relationships with various recruiting firms, use and maintenance of candidate databases, place advertising in various media, and establishing working relationships with existing medical staff to integrate new clinicians and their families into the Reid community.   

 

  • Interacts with departmental staff.
  • Ensures the timely and effective completion of daily activities, projects and goals in collaboration with others.
  • Proactively works with the department director to maintain a comprehensive physician recruitment program to ensure an adequate complement of physicians in accordance with the needs and goals of the hospital and medical staff.
  • Assists with assessing the immediate and long-term need for physicians and services for the hospital; assists with developing strategies for attracting a proper mix of healthcare practitioners to the area.
  • Ensures that recruiting practices are within accepted legal regulations such as antitrust.
  • Provides support marketing and advertising services for physicians in alignment with the strategic plan for that practice.
  • Initiates recruitment efforts with physicians in local residency programs and arranges hospital visits and tours.
  • Acts as a liaison with external physician search firms for recruitment efforts.
  • Performs other related duties and completes special projects as requested by the supervisor.
  • Supports personnel and programs that relate to physician practice enhancement and physician development activities.

Education/Experience

Education required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

 

Experience required: Two year's experience in physician recruitment or related field. 

Schedule Details

Day Shift. Salaried. Office Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Hybrid position including work at home days.
